Self-taught artist
I started painting at the age of 17 when my father bought me my first canvas and oil painting set. Before, I enjoyed drawing on a piece of paper with pencil or black ink and created short cartoons. Since then, my numerous trips and exhibitions with artists have inspired and helped me to build my own technique.
To be 'emprisoned' in one style with only one way to paint is to me the worst thing. As far as art is concerned, I always go towards whatever can make me progress and makes me renew myself.
Each project often consists of multiple works, often in a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During research and production, new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work.
There is nothing complicated: you just need to find a way to go through these temporary difficulties and reach the vision or picture that you have imagined at the beginning of your project.
Art, in any form, transcends culture and language. You will find in my work hidden details and symbols. It tells stories and shares ideas.
