How does commissioning a painting work?
When you first contact us to enquire about your personal commissioned painting, we go over everything entailed. We decide the size of your painting that best suits your space and needs, color and selection of previous works you would like your piece to be like most. By following this way we will know exactly what you are looking for. Do you want some details or something more abstract?
You can as well give us pictures or photos that you would like to see included in your project. Next we go over pricing, process times and payment options. Finally we will give you a copy of the Custom Art Commission Contract and you will have 7 days to make your final decision.
Creative Process
Cyrille PHILIPPOT will keep you updated very regularly and will give you the first hand witness of the progression of your painting through photos sent via email. You get to be a part of the process, adding input on elements and colors to be added as wanted to ensure the finished art piece is your dream painting which matches all your expectations.
Pricing
Size options and design may be discussed as well as pricing, which vary from $500 to $10,000.
What is the payment process?
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before artwork commences to cover material costs and as a deposit. The payment is due in full upon delivery of artwork.
Copyright
Artist, Cyrille Philippot, retains the copyright to all works commissioned by Collector that was created by Artist, Cyrille Philippot, including all reproduction rights and the right to claim statutory copyright. No artwork may be reproduced or altered without the written consent of the Artist.
Right of Refusal
In the event that the Collector does not wish to purchase the commissioned artwork, the Artist, Cyrille Philippot, will retain the refused artwork and the non-refundable deposit. This is free of any claims or interests of the Collector and the Collector will not owe any additional fees to the Artist, Cyrille Philippot.
